Paul Ashton Ltd
building surveying & project management
Most building works require drawings for Planning Permission and Building Regulations approval.
Drawings are prepared using AutoCad computer aided design program for accuracy and ease of alteration.
Most extensions or alterations require Planning Permission and/or Building Regulations approval. Some domestic development is permissible without the need to obtain Planning Permission under Permitted Development allowances. This includes some extensions, porches and outbuildings. The allowances are explained at the government’s Planning Portal website
The Permitted Development allowances vary for differing types of property and if the building is listed or in a special area. Some properties have the Permitted Development rights removed and require a planning application for all development.
Building Regulations approval is separate from Planning Permission and covers technical aspects of the construction and ensures the construction meets minimum standards. Some works are exempt from Building Regulations and again the Planning Portal explains this in more detail.
Paul Ashton Ltd can prepare drawings and other documentation for submission of a planning application and Building Regulations submission including the full submission process to the appropriate local authority.
